From May through October, Lazy River Playground and Retreat Center is your destination for unforgettable gatherings and meaningful experiences. We host birthday celebrations, family reunions, school events, wellness retreats, and weddings in a peaceful natural setting. Our property also features Lazy River Cabins for relaxing overnight stays and Lazy River Forest Therapy, offering public and private Forest Bathing walks, solo retreats, Reiki, and spiritual counseling to support rest, renewal, and connection.

About Lazy River Playground

Since 1942, families and friends have gathered to enjoy the Playground’s natural, rustic charm. Guests can step back in time with vintage roller skating and mini-golf, or take part in classic favorites like shuffleboard and horseshoes. A spacious covered picnic pavilion seats up to 60, with a nearby covered charcoal pavilion ideal for feeding large groups. The waterfront offers a peaceful place to relax—or the perfect launch point for your next kayak adventure.

A Legacy Worth Preserving

Since 1942, Lazy River Playground & Retreat Center has been part of the fabric of our community—a place where generations have gathered to skate, play, relax, and reconnect. From first roller-skating memories to family picnics by the water, Lazy River has always been about simple joys and shared experiences.

To ensure this special place continues to serve future generations, we’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $30,000. These funds will allow us to renovate the historic Skate Hall and Mini-Golf Course, improve our trails, and upgrade restroom facilities—all while preserving the rustic charm that makes Lazy River feel like home.
